After recent assembly elections,  Bharatiya Janata Party or its allies will have government in nearly 50 percent of the country.

Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan. Despite the hung mandate of Manipur and Goa, BJP President Amit Shah has claimed to form government. Whereas, the state in which the government is formed with the support of the BJP includes- Jammu and Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Nagaland.
