Goa Governor Sinha asked BJP legislature party leader Manohar Parrikar on Sunday to prove his majority in the House. Parrikar had earlier claimed to form government.
Parrikar provided a list of 21 persons who will be part of the BJP government. He resigned as defense minister.
BJP got support of Goa Forward Party, Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (both of whom have three MLAs), independent Rohan Khaunte and BJP-supported independent Govind Gaude.
Total seats in Goa are 40. Majority required is 21. BJP won 13 seats in this election.
