BABRI ISSUE TO BE SETTLED OUT OF COURT

Babri Issue to be Settled out of Court

The Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute of Ayodhya has taken a new twist after the highest judiciary body of India, the Supreme Court says that the matter should be mutually settled between the two fighting parties out of the court. The court calls this issue ‘sentimental’, while hearing a petition filed by Subramanian Swamy of BJP.

The Babri Masjid demolition case of 1992 is one of the prior communal issues of India, shaping the Indian politics to a great extent. Big political figures like LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharti have been accused in the case.

Chief Justice Khehar has proposed that he or Justice Kaul can mediate, but they will not hear the matter on judicial ground. Now it is a question whether the parties involved can peacefully sit and talk. The Waqf Board, one of the parties involved, has already rejected to agree with this proposal.

Whatever be the future moves, that will influence the Indian mass to a great extent; this communal dispute should see an end immediately for the good of the riot-torn nation. The issue should be handled with great care to promote the message of peace and harmony.
