Jethmalani to Fight for Kejriwal without Fees

There is a new twist in the defamation case against Delhi CM Aravind Kejriwal, filed by central Finance Minister Mr Arun Jaitley. Renowned lawyer Mr Ram Jethmalani says that he will fight for Mr Kejriwal; he adds that he will consider Mr Kejriwal as a ‘poor client’ and will not take fees for fighting the case.

The Delhi government wanted to pay Mr Jethmalani an amount of 3.8 crore for fees from the public fund; it was sternly criticized by BJP and Ram Jethmalani has decided to fight the case for free after the criticism. However, the Aam Aadmi Party says that there is all justification in paying the lawyer from the government funds. In the civil defamation suit, Mr Arun Jaitley has demanded Rs 10 crore from the Aam Aadmi Party as a compensation for the damages caused by them, after they cried corruption against the Delhi and District Cricket Association. Jethmalani claims that the finance minister is afraid of facing his questions.
