Bribing Charges Against TTV Dinakaran

BRIBING CHARGES AGAINST TTV DINAKARAN

Bribing Charges Against TTV Dinakaran

The Sasikala faction of AIADMK is repeatedly making headlines for all wrong reasons. This time TTV Dinakaran, the Deputy General Secretary, is accused of bribing. The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has filed a case of bribery against Dinakaran.

The Sasikala party secretary got an offer of having the frozen double leaf symbol of AIADMK (the mother party) in exchange of 60crores. The symbol was seized by the Election Commission before the RK Nagar bypoll. Sukesh Chander, who is arrested now, gave Dinakaran the proposal of bribing. Report says that Dinakaran had enough connection with the accused, to lead the police to doubt him for corruption.

After Jayalalitha’s death, AIADMK is going through a series of turmoil which started with the differences between party’s General Secretary VK Sasikala and former Chief Minister O Panneerselvam. It led to the birth of two factions led by the two fighting leaders. Sasikala has been jailed for ‘disproportionate assets’. RK nagar bypoll has been postponed due to allegations of corruption. It seems that corruption has been deeply ingrained within the party. The people of Tamil Nadu will look forward to having a corruption-free politics in the state.
