A group of activists have filed a petition in the Supreme Court raising a strong demand of beep ban; the social media has been stormed with the issue. The activists say that the beep strategy of the Censor Board to hide some words from the audience is highly objectionable. The audience is no milk-fed juniors that they cannot hear what is being said by a movie character.
The activists say that a democracy should have freedom of speech and freedom of hearing. There should be no problem if slangs are used in movies; the audience is well-used to them as they use it in their daily life. Those who don’t know slangs can learn and those who already know, can rectify their accents hearing the disagreeable words in a movie.
Public should be given free access to knowledge and nothing should be hidden from them, claims the All India Slang Federation.
