Why hindus consider cow sacred? (Logical Reason)

There was a time in ancient India, people mostly were dependent on agriculture for livelihood. It was common to have cattle in home. Most of them include goat, cows, buffalo.  Only water resource at that time was river and rain fall. 

Those who didn’t stay near river, rainfall was the only help. With the fluctuating climate, the effect was directly to crops. Most of the times, crops use to die along with the people. Severe famines across India was not new thing.  

At that time of tragedies, cow use to provide them milk with limited food. With the time, people came to know about usefulness of cow urine, cow dung. It added value to their life and helped them in disasters. 

As centuries passed, cow is considered godly power.
